There are several different varieties of mulch, offering a wide array of colors and styles. Some are a very dark brown while others are a light brown. They also come in different consistencies from finely shredded to ones that contain more chips. Our standard mulch is a shredded hardwood that has a medium brown color Purpose Aesthetics: Replenishing mulch gives it a fresh new look and makes it look more appealing. Weed Control: A thick layer of mulch minimizes weed seed germination.      Moisture Retention: It helps to keep the soil temperature stable and cool, while retaining moisture. Planting: Allows for easy access to soil for planting annuals and perennials. Mulch Services: Delivery: We would deliver the product for you to install. Installation: We will deliver and install the product for you. Edging:  This helps define the mulch bed from the turf area and also helps to keep the mulch in its place. We use a shovel to cut a groove at the edge of the bed. Cultivation*: Helps to rejuvenate the mulch beds. Over time mulch can become compacted, preventing air and water from reaching the root zone of the plants. This process will break up any clumps and allow the air and water to pass through to the root zone of the plants. It also rejuvenates the color of the mulch. Weed Control*: To keep your landscapes looking their best. This includes two pre-emergent applications, these work to help prevent weeds from growing. For any weeds that do emerge spraying or hand pulling would occur. * These services are offered as part of our Landscape Maintenance program.
