What to Expect
What Does Lawn Maintenance Entail?
In terms of equipment, we use commercial grade mowers, trimmers, and blowers to complete the job. Our crews strive for a straight, even cut, and crisp edges, while also altering mowing patterns, when possible, to reduce compaction and potential for turf damage. We also sharpen every mowing blade after a day’s use to ensure the turf is cut clean and even.
Our target mowing height is 3-3.5 inches, as lawns mowed at these heights tend to have deeper roots, less weed problems, and look much better overall. After mowing, our crews use backpack blowers to blow grass clippings back into the turf, to keep driveways and sidewalks looking tidy and free of lawn debris.
Leaf Removal
Keeping Lawns Clean
Picking up leaves can certainly be a large task, especially considering they start to fall right around the beginning of the holiday season! Not to worry, Complete Lawn Care provides spring and fall leaf clean-ups, so you can spend that time with the people you care about! There are a few different methods we use for leaf clean-ups. After speaking with you, we can determine the best option for you and your home and get to work. Our leaf clean-up services are billed by the man hour unless otherwise stated. To find our hourly rate, please go to our FAQ page. The different options we offer are listed below.

Frequency of Leaf Clean-Ups
How Often Should Clean-Ups Be Done?
As leaves don’t all fall at the same time, it is important to address the frequency of leaf clean-ups, as generally one leaf clean-up is not enough to keep your lawn looking clean and free of leaves. What we recommend is a scheduled clean-up approximately every 2 weeks. This is beneficial because having regular clean-ups done means less time is spent on the jobsite, saving you money. We also offer a spring clean-up to pick up any leaves remaining after the winter, and it just so happens to be the best time to cut down any liriope or ornamental grasses as well. If you are interested in receiving a quote for these services, please give us a call so we can send you a free estimate, or submit an estimate request form online through our website!

Tip
Lawn Dethatching
Professional and Comprehensive
This service consists of removing the layer of dead grass, roots, and other organic material (known as thatch) that accumulates on the surface of the soil. The most common reasons for performing this service are noted below:
- When the thatch layer is more than ½ inch thick, as this can create mats that hinder water and nutrients from reaching the roots.
- Your lawn shows signs of poor health, such as yellowing grass or water pooling on the surface.
