What services do you offer?
We pride ourselves on our full lineup of services, we call ourselves Complete Lawn Care for a reason! Our basic services start with a turf fertilization and weed control program and weekly mowing. Many residential and commercial clients allow us to manage their entire property by trimming shrubs, installing mulch and rock, landscape design, aerating & over-seeding and more. We also offer commercial snow removal available to businesses within our service area and sign up for regular lawn maintenance. If you are interested in receiving an estimate for any of our services, please reach out to us via phone or email and we can send you one free of charge!
What areas do you service?
Complete Lawn Care provides regular lawn and landscape maintenance in the following areas: Florissant, Black Jack, Spanish Lake, Old Jamestown, Richmond Heights, Clayton, University City, Ladue, Frontenac, Town and Country, Hazelwood, and some areas in Ballwin and Chesterfield. We do have a bigger service area for one-time projects depending on the distance and scope of work. If you are interested in finding out whether you are in our regular service area, feel free to give us a call!
Do you require a contract?
For commercial properties, yes we do. For residential, it is a service agreement that is continuous from year to year without a set term and can be cancelled at any time, with 15 days notice.
Do you offer one-time/bi-weekly mows?
We do not offer either of those services. Unfortunately, if we made these services available, it would make our scheduling and routing much more difficult. Our base package is a weekly mow along with our 7-step program.
Is the 7-step program required for mowing services?
Yes, in order to qualify for our weekly mowing service, clients must also sign onto our fertilization and weed control program.
Does the 7-step program have a guarantee?
Our program is designed to improve the health and appearance of your lawn. We want you to be happy with the way your lawn looks, but want you to understand that it is a process and does not happen overnight. For new customers, depending on the current state of the lawn, it may take a season or 2 before it really fills in. However, you should see improvements along the way, especially after the first aeration and seeding. We want you to trust the process but feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions/concerns along the way. We have 2 applications dedicated to treating and killing weeds and will spot spray on other visits if needed.
How do you send your invoices?
You are automatically signed up to receive invoices via the email you used to sign up with us. If, however, you would like your invoices printed and mailed to you, please let us know so that we may accommodate you.
When will I owe for completed services?
If you are a new client looking for a one-time service/project, a 50% deposit may be required, and the remaining balance will be billed upon job completion. For regular lawn and landscape maintenance services (Mowing, 7-step program, etc.) we bill on a monthly basis. All invoices are dated the last day of that calendar month for services completed in that month, and the bill will go out by the 5th of the following month. All payments are due within 30 days of the date of the invoice. Failure to pay within the allotted time frame will result in a late fee of 10% plus a finance charge of 2% for the first month missed, and an additional 2% finance charge for each consecutive month missed until the balance is paid off in full. Please email office@completelawncareinc.com for any further billing questions you may have.
How do I pay?
To avoid any convenience fees, please pay by cash or check, or by using your online banking via bill pay or by using Zelle. If using Zelle, use our office@completelawncareinc.com email address to find the account. DO NOT use our office number or name, only the email will work. Ensure that the account is enrolled as “COMPLETE LAWN CARE, INC” as that is the correct account to send your payment. This is very important, because once the payment is sent, there is no way for us to reverse the process if it is sent to the wrong account. For our records, please include your invoice number in the memo. For our regular mail invoice clients, we provide a pre-addressed return envelope with each invoice. If you are paying by check, please make it payable to “Complete Lawn Care, Inc.” At this time, we do not accept payments through our website.
Do you accept Credit/Debit Cards?
All of our prices quoted are for cash or check transactions. We do accept credit/debit cards, but there is a 3% convenience fee for each transaction. This helps to cover part of the fees that we incur. To avoid a fee, please pay with a check, cash, or use Zelle or bill pay through your bank.
What is your standard labor rate?
Our hourly labor rate is $65.00 per man hour for lawn and landscape maintenance services. One man hour is equal to 1 man for 60 minutes, 2 men for 30 minutes or 3 men for 20 minutes. When calculating services by the hour, we do charge for travel time, up to 10 minutes.
*Special requests or emergency services will be charged the full drive time.
*Special requests or emergency services will be charged the full drive time.
What is my responsibility as a client?
Ensure gates are unlocked or that we have a key to unlock it when it is time for us to service your property. Please also keep pets inside to help keep them away from our crew while they do their work. Please ensure that your lawn is free of debris such as animal waste, kids toys, above-ground sprinklers, golf balls, and other potential hazards. Please water your grass, especially during the dry periods of the season. We can put down all the fertilizer in the world, if the lawn isn’t getting the water it needs, the grass will not stay green. We recommend a minimum 1” worth of water per week, but during hot dry periods it may require more.
What types of mowers do you use?
We use both commercial walk behind and riding mowers that range from 3-5′ in width. We require a minimum of a 38” gate opening for our equipment. We understand that there may be concern about turf damage from using bigger equipment; from a testimonial: “After seeing what a different lawn care company had done to my neighbor’s lawn with those commercial mowers, I swore I would never let anyone use one on my yard. I reluctantly took your word and let you use your mowers on my lawn and to my surprise after the entire summer I have no damage to my hillside.” JB.
Who do I contact if I notice damages on my site or need a crew to return?
While we do our best to avoid them, accidents do happen. Please report all damages to the office at 314-220-2181 or office@completelawncareinc.com. Take pictures of the damage and take note of the approximate time it occurred, we will work with you to correct the situation as quickly as possible.
What happens if I want to skip or reschedule a lawn mowing?
If it has been too wet or too hot and you do not want us to mow your property, please give us at least 24 hours notice to cancel your mowing that week. We will pick back up the following week. If we have to double cut, there will be a double charge assessed. If you are having an event and want to be mowed the day before for a particular weekend, please give us 1-2 weeks notice so that we can make adjustments to our schedule *a special trip charge may apply.
Is your fertilizer/weed killer safe for pets?
Granular fertilizer, especially in small amounts spread across an entire yard, poses little danger to pets. To minimize potential risk, we recommend watering the lawn, which speeds up product incorporation into the soil. It can take up to 48 hours for the granules to fully dissolve, so minimizing your pet’s exposure during that time frame would be ideal. For liquid weed control, please wait at minimum 4 hours before allowing your pets onto treated areas. If possible, it is most ideal to minimize exposure to treated areas for at least 24 hours to allow the product to fully absorb. Please monitor your pet during this time period to ensure they are not ingesting grass or playing in treated areas. Once the product is fully absorbed, it is completely safe for pets.
What types of insurance do you carry?
We have general liability insurance that covers the business operations. As well as Worker’s compensation insurance that covers our workers while working on your property.
Are you licensed?
We are licensed in the application of Fertilization and Weed Control products, which is monitored by the Missouri Department of Agriculture. If you would like to know more, please visit the database of all of the Licensed Applicators for Missouri. There are no other licenses required by the state of Missouri to be in the lawn care business.
